What can I say...I WANT to go back!!! The cappuccino tasted heavenly and the big chocolate macarone was the best I've ever had. I tasted a chocolate macarone another place and it didn't measure up to this one! Laduree opens at 3pm for tea and cakes and it is popular so we had to stand in line for a while. The building is so beautiful I had to force myself putting the camera away. Notice the stunning ceiling!
The good thing about visiting places like this is that the experience lasts for a long time. I'm still feeling the taste of this macarone :) Hope you all had a great weekend!

Kristin, were you in heaven? What a place!! Gorgeous photos....
ReplyDeleteI really need that coffee right now!
and here I am, behind my computer, reading your laduree-adventure while eating an apple.....*sigh*....well...as long as you enjoyed it for the both of us;)....I like the waiters look also;)!!!

You are KILLING me with these posts! Talk about wanting to go back, thats all I think about...driving my husband a bit bonkers with all my nagging about how i just neeeeeed to go back to Paris..its falling on unsympathetic ears thus far! Oh isn't it just beautiful, I can almost taste the macarone.....and feel the warm Parisian spring air. Until then I continue to dream and rely upon your breathtaking posts to take me there:-)
ReplyDeleteHi Kristin,
ReplyDeleteThe Champs Elysees and Laduree are one of my favourite place to go when in Paris.
Thanks for sharing and yes, the food and macarons are the best.
Happy week

I went to Paris in Oct 2009 and I left my heart at Laudree. Its truly the Tiffanys of Macaroons. My husband and I bought a box, took it back to our apartment that we were renting and within in 5 minutes we ate them all. Probably one of my most all time favorite memories.
ReplyDeletePS: Your photos are wonderful.
OH DEAR. YOU CLEARLY have THE BEST photos of Paris dearest. I am wondering if you would be willing, maybe in the summer when I am off, to have a Paris getaway blog party. Your photos are just BEYOND belief, and I just think you should do something with them ALL!!! That macaroon, it is DIVINE!!!! LOVELY my dear, Anita

ReplyDeleteHi Kristin,
ReplyDeleteVery nice photos ! It's always funny and interesting to me to see the vision and impressions of foreigners about Paris and my country LOL, because for me it's become so common (I see it everyday), but sometimes, I rediscover the beauty of the images and colours of my city in your blog! Many thanks ;)
Have a nice day

BONJOUR MA BELLE! Oh Kristin, thank you for always coming to cheer me up with your beautiful smile and love. Yes, I would SO LOVE to have a LINK to your fabulous blog this early summer, where you we could perhaps provide a Paris party of some kind. I think if you were to have a collection of all your best Paris photos, it would be the best get-away for those of us that can't get to Paris this year, the conventional way! ALL YOUR PICTURES are just breathtaking, the prettiest I have ever seen of Paris. When school is out, let's plan it! Oh, I can't wait.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day; I am on spring break and LOVING THE QUIET!!! Bisous, Anita

There is no place like Paris,a lovely city that makes people come and go from over the world.
ReplyDeleteOooooh lala Laduree love! Those sweet little somethings sure do leave a lasting impression on your tummy, tongue, and all! Walking into that interior is like walking into an old vintage Parisian coffee shop with an elevated touch of glitz and glam! Oh how I miss Paree :D Have you tried Pierre Herme yet??...Omigosh I DIEEEEE!
